Do you play the piano?

I play any instrument I can get my hands on!
Right now I play a plug in keyboard :p but I will be playing the piano once it is here :D It was my sisters, but she lives over east now and mum needs the space, so I'll happily take it! I took the guitar last visit :p

cup of soup for tea tonight, with a movie. Just found a free Christian tv channel, so I'm set with my crochet for the night!

Snowing just a tad today. That is my garden fence... and the back end of the in-law's boat.

Hay you can see the boat now. It's either dropped a few feet or the wind blew the snow somewhere else. From looking at a few of your other pics of snow over the fence and well everything. Spring has sprung.

The other boat photo was looking at the north end of the boat..

This photo it from the south end...

So... still about the same level of snow..

BUT

The snow is now rotting and compressing. Not really melting ...

But yes, tiny signs of spring. :D

I like our mild seasons better that having snow this late in the year. I also don't want the hea5 some of you get.
I was about 20 miles south of the tri-cities from last March until this Jan. I was amazed at how nice the weather was. And when it did get warm it was so dry that it wasn't hot at all. A little warmer than your Mt. Rainer to my knowledge. It got cold in the winter and I was suprised to see the humidity jump to what it's like here at home but it still wasn't as cold. After I got home we hit -17 and the tri-cities I was told was above freezing. I'm not moving or even thinking about moving up there but I did like the weather.

I'm from the Hermiston area originally. Most of my family is around there.

It's very different from here in how you grow things. Soil type is very different as well. I keep trying to explain this to Mom.

@JanetMarie ... if I can be nosy, can you tell me what else you are using/trying??? Have used in the past???? For what types of aches/pains?

I have such pain in the knees, and I am going to have both replaced in the end of October because I have gone every other route I could find and research. I've done prolotherapy, PRP stem cell, the "synvisc" hyaluronic acid injections, Physical therapy, exercises from the orthopedic doctors, finally tried the cortisone knowing that replacement was going to have to be done.... NOTHING ..... helps. I have also tried every "drug" from tylenol, ibuprophen, aspirin, to meloxicam, tramodol, hydrocodone.... vitamin therapies from a wholistic doctor.....

I am trying to find something that will make it more bearable for the next 6 months.

I had my ankle replaced Feb 6, 2020. I could not walk on it without hurting. It was the best thing I ever did.... and with the whole covid lockdown mess... I was held back from PT for an extra month... but the results have been amazing...and the PT says he belives I will even get a little more use once I get the knees done and can walk more normally. The ankle was the worst so I did it first, the right knee was bad but now the left knee is nearly as bad from trying to "take the strain" off the right. I will be having a newer type procedure called the Mako procedure.... both done at the same time. That is the recommendation from both the PT's I have seen over the last year....and the one PT's mom had both hers done this past Sept and she got along real good and he said that I ought to do as good or better than his mom because I am more active and more determined to get back to normal....
Because of our farming operation, I really cannot leave my son with no one to help with all the hay making. I can sit on a tractor and do the tedding and raking of the hay. I have been doing that for years as I can do it during the day while he is at work, have fields ready for him to go into the field to bale in the afternoons after he gets off work.

But it would be nice if there was a way I could get some relief from the feeling like there is a sharp knife slicing into the knee when I move it certain ways, it is like a white hot zap and then sometimes it is just like a nerve is getting pinched between 2 hard bones and a real sudden intense shooting pain. But it still aches all the time anyway.

Thanks.

I'm not Janet but have you tried Osteo Bi Flex or another glucosamine+ supplement.?? It is said that you can not regrow cartilage but this does help. If you are allergic to shellfish (it has trace amounts in it) there are other brands with the same important ingredients. I used to have friends in my early 20's tell me to go see a pain specialist. I still haven't 15yrs later. I used to work with a guy that wants yes wants back surgery (I think for the disability) and his back is not ever been as mine is on a regular basis. I use my inversion table instead of back surgery and like anything not surgery.
Also not to you specifically Jan but a few more glasses of water can and will help most people's problems, from arthritis, bulging disc (in my case), regular aches and pains, headaches and even constapation. My ..... can't poop normal and started measuring how much water intake she was taking in and made sure she drank a gallon. Poop became normal and headaches went down along with other little minor aches and pains.
