What did you do in your garden today?

34° this morning.

I got the mower stuck on flat ground yesterday. Too mossy and boggy still apparently. Tried to take the truck over to pull it out. Barely escaped with the truck in 4x4 Low. Now I need to take the tiller over there to fix ruts as soon as it's solid enough.

No gardening for a while obviously. I sink in some spots.

Yesterday I weeded at home and planted 2 blueberry bushes at the property. Redbud has leaves! I was worried bc I just threw it out at the property and let it go

Going to be HOT and humid today and tomorrow (97 heat index tomorrow) definitely not May weather for us at all, next week in the 60s. My poor plants are living a rollercoaster life. Going to water today, storms excepted tomorrow

Finally got around to planting pumpkin, cucumber, cantaloupe, and watermelon seeds in the greenhouse yesterday. Running out of room in there and still 2 1/2 to 3 weeks before the warm weather plants can go in the garden. It was 30°F yesterday morning.

Didn't get the praying mantis eggs set out in a timely manner. Escapees are in the house.

Temps are going wrong way at night. It was 33° last night.

Cleaned all the silkie coops and dumped it where the corn will eventually be.

Too busy trying to fort knox my chicken pens from wild birds. Bird flu is around here. No one is allowed to free range. I made sure the bird feeder about 300' away have food to lure the resident wild birds away.

Saw my first stink bug this morning. Been working on getting the tomato plants covered. This means war. I WILL have tomatoes this year.

Anyone have any experience with Mr Big peas or a good variety for fall peas? I would like to give fall peas a try.
