@Grandmas Porch that sounds really good. I made meatloaf meatballs, which went over better than meatloaf usually does so that was a win. We had salad and butter bread ;)

It is cool here this morning 35F outside bit headed to 50s. I will be dropping off the youngest at school and then we head to the voting polls, I am interested to watch the results tonight. I think I know where WI will land for Governor but I am more interested in MN (we are 30 min from the border and do a lot in MN and our families are all there). I am praying for our country.

DH FINALLY realized we had chicks outside, lol, they are 2.5 weeks old- he just laughed and shook his head. He knows they make me happy so he doesn't say much unless he needs to make coop adjustments.

Our cat has been loving the wood stove this year, she must be a freeze baby. Our house is so quiet without our pup, I went to call her the other day and then stopped myself.

I will be pulling most if the remaining carrots and lettuce today, with highs in the 20s coming I don't think the lettuce will last and I am not wasting it.

Hope you all have a great day.

It is like losing a child in a way, I have called poor Tony Cosmo and Max several times.
Kitty looks very happy in her spot,
I picked the last of the chilies, I still have kale, [ arugula and a few turnips and peas- all reseeded its self ]

we decided last night that breakfast was going to be banana splits. :) i need my energy for gardening...

glad to see the rains/snows in California, hope they have a good snowpack season to help refill the reservoirs and keep the farmers going. also good for the rivers and fishies. :)

yes! everything i can get done in the fall makes spring much easier. i'm doing ok. :) i will be staining again today and doing any other stuff i can get done on the house tomorrow so no more gardening until next week if we get breaks in the weather. Friday i may have a chance for a few hours if the rains hold off.

I got 13 big cattle syrup lick tubs from a rancher a couple days ago. My 2023 garden will be in them. Have no idea where I even want a garden, no tiller to break soil, no time to put in a first year garden. My priority will be to clean fence row, take down old wire and put up new wire so I can utilize the front pasture. I’m excited about those tubs, I’ll be able to at least grow something.
