we're making pancakes and some maple flavored smokie links for late lunch today. i'm the cook for these so it's an easy meal. takes more time to clean up than it does to make them.

last night was really easy, apples and peanut butter and some crackers and cheese (and hot sauce), plus a few bites of spinach dip on crackers.

Philly cheese steaks, but with hubby's curiosity added. I was going to cook up last of the filet steaks I'd got at Costco but he's like "I wonder how that would taste as a cheese steak? Do that tomorrow". I had onion and bell pepper so everything to make. Froze the steaks for a few hours and sliced on the mandolin before cutting into strips.

Was definitely tender but I like the strip steak better. I buy the pre-sliced ones for shabu shabu. Hubby called tonights meal our upper middle-class cheese steaks because it was only choice meat.

We ate a lot of tenderloin that summer Winco had it on sale for $6/lb for the primal. I dont usually get it. Our meat tends to be "what's on sale this week at the restaurant supply?". Ooo beef brisket $3.59.

Sausage, onion, mushroom quiche. Cucumber, tomato, red onion salad to go with. (but steak still sounds better!)

leftovers for today (pancakes and sausage), and then pretty much anything else but all of it is prepped and ready. so grazing from the fridge. apples and peanut butter, cheese and crackers, spinach dip, carrots, salad... i'm fine with this. i could happily eat by putting up a dartboard and throwing darts (but i don't think the fridge would look good with holes in the front door)...

We shared a cheap pork chop vac packed since '21. Then I sautéed red swiss chard, some green onions and some spinach. Served with Pesto whole wheat spiral pasta. Uck on the pasta.

leftover cold pizza and apples (no peanut butter). got some strawberries out of the freezer and those will go with some chocolate chip cookies and whipped cream in a bit.
