I guess that's something, huh? At least he is good for something. A pup that kills livestock living in farm country? Not good for much of anything but living indoors at all times....a couch ornament. :/

I forgot to add that my dog went into the hay field and was barking at the neighbors goats. I expected to hear gun fire any minute. He has chased calves, before. Thats why he nevers comes out in the summer. We have a bunch of city pups I think.

Well, we got a real pretty snow all day, heavy and wet. Resulted in about 5-6 in. accumulation. The good news is that is warmed up to snow....we have been having temps in the single digits and teens.

Work shut down for the day and I had good intentions of cleaning house and such.....basically stayed in my nightie, watched movies, ate some good homemade soup and napped. LOVE a snow day! :)

yep - thats what snow is good for. glad you had a relaxing day - we did about the same.

but at this rate we'll only have snow days until march.. so maybe i'd better get something done today
;-)

sorry your pups are on a rampage. they are still young enough to work with tho. do you have Cesar Milan's book Be The Pack Leader? it shows how to get ahold of rambunctious pups. we use his techniques and have had really good results

:)

Now I'm scared! :p :hide What are sending me from up north? Icicles?? :D How did you get my address? Did I give it to you? MAN, I am getting senile!!! First I can't remember if we had a My Page link below our names and now I can't remember who has my address and who doesn't!!! :barnie

Not fair...I don't have yours.... :(

OFG, I have read his books and I think these pups are a little too young yet to see me as alpha...I haven't had the time to establish that just yet. I tried the alpha roll on them the first time they attacked a chicken but I haven't gotten the chance to the do the rest of that training.

Jake was only 7 mo. old when I trained him about chickens but I think he was very well grounded by then as to who was the alpha. He was fully trained in obedience by then also, so he was much easier.

These pups are just running wild. As soon as my guest dog leaves(babysitting a Rottie for a co-worker), they will be returned to the large garden fenced area...unfortunately, sometimes a chicken will fly into that area and cannot find her way out. Then she becomes prey to the terrible twosome...that's what happened the first time.

I'm sighting in my .22 this weekend. If I try more of Cesar's methods and they do not work, the pups are being turned into "good dogs". :/
