It's the mimicking AND the exaggeration that are a bit much. And if what he wants to say doesn't start out with the phrase or intonation that he wants, he'll start again. There are times that it makes him stutter because he wants to get it JUST right.
Not sure I qualify because all of this is still so new but ... my Teen constantly misreads me. He thinks a deep sigh usually means I'm getting ready to blow my top but about half the time, it's just that I need a deep breath. He doesn't get that ALL the clues need to be read: breathing, facial...
Just curious ... can't find a gardening section on this forum, so thought I'd post this here.
I have a small row of russian olive trees and I want to plant thornED blackberries in between to make a living fence. I'm having troubles finding what kinds actually have thorns.
Looking at:

I got this in an e-mail from a feed store where I get some of my supplies. While it doesn't effect me, I thought I'd post it anyway because I'm sure there are horse-owners here. (I'm not on backyardherds.com yet):
Woohoo! I'm so happy for you. Yeah, the waiting for the first bit of money is painful, and I too didn't get any back amount either but now you know you're gonna have a steady amount of money coming in, and can plan accordingly.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll look for it at the library.
Abi: Any time you want to come out and visit, you have an invitation. I think My Teen would do well meeting a similar-type autistic person who's found her path and figured out to get through things.
Thanks, Denim.
Saving: I love nyquil too! Except not good for my high blood pressure.
As to the mouse, she is sitting on her eggs about 6 inches from the food and water dish I put out for her, and didn't do anything about the mouse that I saw eating her food. I moved the food out for the night...
The week from hell.
A foot of snow. Finally stopped then turned to rain. Goat pen caving in and flooded. Chicken coops caving in and flooded. Everybody's cold and wet. Food and hay is wet. My hair is soaked, and I changed clothes 3 times today, and 4 yesterday.
Had to play musical chickens...
Yep, I guess I could freeze half. But the problem is I'm an overeater, and fresh homemade bread is one of my downfalls (along with brownies, cake with buttercream frosting, and ... ok, I'm stopping).
What's that steamed bread recipe? I'll have to give it a try. I think I have a short enough...
I love my slow cookers. I have 2 singles and a double, and have my eye on a triple.
So... I need your recipes! Never thought about making bread in the crockpot. I don't have coffee cans (I drink instant) but have a few cans of things like green artichoke hearts. I don't like using the cans tho...
Time traveled to next month but the Goddes of Money refused to let me have any winning lotto numbers, so I came back.
A Pox to her!
Nevada... here I come!
Yuh huh. Right.
Busy weekend. Frustrating weekend. But I'm getting a lot done, making preparations and lists, and working out a plan...
I went through another 20 boxes of junk and came away with 12 boxes of trash, 3 boxes of office supplies, 2 boxes of paperwork, and 3 boxes of toys and misc that we need to get ready for yardsale or safekeeping. Woohoo to not buying any more office supplies for a while!
Sounds like you're making some changes too. I've been spending the last 3 mondays going through boxes, organizing, throwing away, and getting ready for a garage sale (or 3).
Finally found 2 missing parts to my own Christmas tree, and the stocking from my childhood.
I love my EEs too. I have a...
I don't keep up with everything, but you did mention the crockpot.
I have one of those double crockpots and just saw this week a triple crockpot that I have my eye on.
Right before bed, I fill them up. On one side, I put something on the warm setting for tomorrow's breakfast, like oats, millet...
Feel free to hijack!
Yeah, it sure feels like they want to keep us poor. But they keep forgetting that if we're disabled enough to qualify for SSDI, then we have more than the average medications and doctor appointments, so a lot of money goes to that. Then there's needing a special home, like...
Saving: Considering moving but would need to move where my kid could get good help with his developmental problems. Where I can homeschool him AND get special help, where we can be near my beloved mountains, and where I can get a decent house on an acre or two to keep my goats and chickens and...
