It was so frustrating! I would be testing circuits, etc. and it was zeroed out... but turns out there was a flaky contact on the positive terminal that when moved just a TINY bit in the wrong direction it would connect, disconnect, connect, disconnect. REALLY great when you're trying to see if a...
Ya, I have a bunch of the cheap ones too... but I like this one because it has a nice easy on/off switch, buzzer for continuity, rotating screen, 20A limit, etc., so it was worth it to try and give it a fix.
Totally agree!!!
It felt good to keep it working and away from potentially ending up in a landfill.
All that said, I'm sure my feelings of pride & success would have been replaced with frustration had I not gotten it to work ;)
What's funny: I didn't expect it to really work so well. In fact, I purchased this new carb kit / replacement fully expecting to have to install it.

I have a Montgomery Ward lawnmower my Dad bought... at least 30 years ago, probably more. I've been using it as my "weed lawnlower" for the past 10 years.
It has run surprisingly well during those years I've owned it, even though I've not taken care of it properly. Each Spring when I pull it...
Thanks y'all for the thoughts. I worry if we keep talking about why this isn't political, it will just become political.
So, let's move-on and talk about Covid in a non-political way.
I'll start :)
Where do y'all fall within the brackets of getting the vaccine? I'm not in any really big risk...

We've tried those other features on the smaller sites (a handful of times) and they always petered out, and then weren't ever really used, so the expenses of keeping them up / going wasn't worth it.
Fortunately, 90% of what you'd do in those other tools can be done in...
Regarding the sites being down:
We were updating the security on the servers to keep the bad guys out, and unfortunately some legit peeps were blocked in the process.
It's a bit of a cat/mouse game with bad-actors on the internet. We try to stay a step ahead and keep them out while letting...
I've always had high-hopes for bamboo as a cheap / strong building material. I mean, it grows CRAZY fast and is SUPER strong. It just seems like it could be perfect if used properly.
I LOVE this guy's videos and the stuff he makes / does with bamboo...
Great info / thoughts, thanks!
I drove by a house that I just noticed has a nice looking vinyl fence, so I'm going to see if my GF likes the way it looks, and if she does, I may knock on the peep's door and ask which one it is, how they like it.
Great stuff! You make a lot of points I've been wondering about!
I don't need it to last forever, but I'd like it to last a while... at least as long as a moderately similar wood fence.
I've definitely seen the old ones that are thin and brittle... that said, I've also seen old wood fences in...
