How did they access the tube? Glad you caught it and rushed to vet!! What did they do to treat? Being a cream, I'd think it dissolved in their mouth 😖. Would seem difficult to remove. That's scary---waiting. :fl

Fast beef stew...leftover roast & potatoes, added a pint of canned carrots, I thickened up sauce like a gravy. Tasty leftovers

Today, 4 pints fried apples. Prob do another batch later in week...several apples to do something with!! An apple pie when I feel like coring again 🤷

Woke at 4:30 😵‍💫 told self back to sleep! Snuggled and dozed until 6:30. It chilly in the house. I'm in long johns & jeans! Yes, 63 is chilly!!! Turned a room heater on. Wow -- I'm not enthused about winter. 😩

I've sliced, breaded & cooked some, then frozen. Works for fast eggplant parm. It's a "soft" cooked dish anyway, so texture is about the same.

My roast was very tasty & tender. I'll slice some for hot roast beef sandwiches tonight and rest will be cut for a big pot of beef stew. That'll make several meals, frozen into serving sizes. Home a lot next week so I'll pull out some poultry and make pot pies & stew with dumplings. Winter...

Just had a few days of mid 30 nights! That's full on winter here...a reminder of what's to come. Pretty early for that in this area. I sure don't want earlier & longer winter Coffee & ginger snaps going on 😂

Again, truth in that....we all need to decide for ourselves. None was willy-nilly processing. I don't forage mushrooms because of my concerns (plus most don't wild grow here) but, I would if more trained & located where they grow. Choices 😁

Beautiful roast going on. Almost 5#, bought on sale & further markdown 👏 love the freezer! Lots of good meals, sandwiches & eventually some stew from this one. A couple jars of canned veg will be used, too. Better get a loaf of bread working.
