    lye?

    I'm making soap for the first time and seen to have run into a problem with lye. Only one store in my city sells it but it's in a huge amount, 3L. 3 L is way too much lye! How do I store it if I buy this large amount? Is it too dangerous to keep in a house?

    Got a new used singer sewing machine for free!

    yesterday I put an AD out for a sewing machine through free cycle and landed a older singer. Att it nees is a thread holder which I can use a dowel for that. i have tons of fabric and am going to make reuseable sandwich bags.
