Heifer calf, bucket milker , Ga

Dh lost his job, so we are having to liquidate. Lil Bit is a 5mo Jerseyx Black Simmental Heifer calf. Friendly, healthy, polled. Would make someone a terrific future milker, and with her half beef genetics, added hybrid vigor and less supplemental feed input. Mama (full blooded Jersey)...

    Ladies? Hair today, gone tomorrow?

Wow.. I feel so much more "normal" after seeing yalls responses :gig :gig I'm not the only one who is more of a "wash and wear" kinda gal, which is really refreshing!!! It really is cool to see so many other folks who are into the simple things. IRL I'm not friends with many women, but am...

    Ladies? Hair today, gone tomorrow?

I shave my underarms when I intend to go out in public.. or they drive me crazy (usually at least once a week, sometimes twice). I've never let the hair grow long enough to get past the itchy stubble phase, the longest being 5 days. My legs? Almost never (Except for anniversaries :D ) The...

    What to do for sunburn?

Coconut oil!@ It does wonders for burns. I actually found out by accident. Gave myself a deep 2nd degree burn on my arm a week ago, and keeping coconut oil on it not only stopped the pain it really did awesome work on the skin and helping it to heal.

MEAT BIRDS THREAD ~Plans, pics, pens, pluckers, processing! GRAPHIC!

Hey Bee...I just wanted to stop in and apologize for "abandoning" my part in the thread here. Things got deep w/the landlord (think hip waders) and I just didn't have time to properly finish the birds out and they ended up happily free ranging (no extra forage and were perfectly healthy) till a...

Squash bugs have killed my squash and zucc's....

I found out (actually by accident) that agricultural sulphur helps w/squash bugs. You'll probably have to reapply every so often, but we were havin a huge problem, and I dusted the gardens and then noticed the squash bugs disappeared. Its been a week, and now that it rained, they're popping back...

MEAT BIRDS THREAD ~Plans, pics, pens, pluckers, processing! GRAPHIC!

Well, considering the bird had no skin and I just baked it in a covered deep cast iron pot, it aint half bad. Texture is good, much more tender then I would think an 11wk old CX on no regular feed would be. I am pretty darned impressed. The texture is a bit more dense then a young bird would be...

MEAT BIRDS THREAD ~Plans, pics, pens, pluckers, processing! GRAPHIC!

This girl is just about 11 1/2wks, actually, not 6. I have let them free range all over and the only feed they've gotten is some clabber once a day..otherwise, all they've ate is cow poop and what ever they scrounge around the property. I'm pretty happy with em so far. I've not tasted any...

Opinions about using Seafoam with small engines?

We haven't figured that out yet either.. of course, it is the landowners not ours, and we're not in the position to invest anymore $ into getting it running either. The Seafoam cleared up a bunch of gunk and got it running for a short bit, but we figure there's more issues then what the...

Opinions about using Seafoam with small engines?

Not that this will help much, but we used it to clean out the 4wheeler carb and motor (via carb soaking and through the gas tank) and it did a good job. For the short duration it ran afterwards, the exhaust didn't reek, the motor sounded 100x better and it actually idled much smoother. It only...
