Wow ok thats all a lot more effort and money than we can/will put into this! Not economical or frugal if we have to spend a few hundred on a backhoe to move it, ya know?
DH has a freind who builds smoke houses, hes going to ask him about it. I thought it would work as animal housing too...
LOL no its about 15 ft (im guessing here) high at the center point of the roof, probably 10 ft high sides on the bin itself, and I am guessing 12 ft in diameter.
I will try to get a picture. Its on a circular cement base, you know out here in the midwest they set those big steel round bins up on cement to keep the grain dry. It is NOT under a shade tree, it cant be moved without being taken apart because of being bolted down to the cement base.
Here is...
You know the round tin grain bins? We have a small one, probably 10 ft at the edge and 15 ft high at the top center and about 10 or 12 ft across I would guess. ANYWAYS DH and I are trying to figure out how to recycle it...what other uses it could have besides storing all of our aluminum cans...
We are capable of flipping a switch to become self sufficient if things got that bad.
We live paycheck to paycheck already. Have one neighbor who fixes cars, one who raises sheep for meat, one with pigs, we raise our own beef, have chickens...oh and grow corn and wheat. Other neighbors do...
OK, here is my problem!
I have two wunnerful, spoiled little boys who have more toys than they could EVER use and they dont really play with them a lot in the summer because we dont go in the house once its above 60 out!
I need to find a cheap, easy to build/make way to sort and store this...
Mom used to use a juicer, but I remember it tasted different, better, when we used an old cider press...our apple tree gives us a pickup load every fall and I only use a few for pies and such, want to make some cider and can it!
Is it hard to build one? I dont feel like spending what I am finding them for sale at... but doubt my abilities to build anything that requires MUCH skill...its different to build a machine than it is to build a house, ya know!?
Yes I have used the dip trick with success. I broke down this time and got a dewormer at the feed store. I want to get her all kosher to go meet her new boyfriend here soon...
It is very un-economicalf ro us to drive the 2 hours to the nearest vet to get dewormer for our dogs. Anyone know of a home remedy I could whip up for them?
1stgrade school teacher had twenty-six students in her class.
She presented each child in her classroom the 1st half of a
well-known proverb and asked them to come up with the
remainder of the proverb. It's hard to believe these were
actually done by first graders. Their insight may...
