hmmm, I don't know about the seed thing. I thought they fell apart fairly quickly when wet.

We just put 'em in the hamster's cage here. :)

I think for that part you'd be okay, the key being "gentle", but I would think that the challenge would be went you're ready to transplant. You might have a mess?

Sharper minds than mine will probably have better insight.

Got a particular method to share? By fire starter, do you put flammable material inside and dip in wax, or use them for camping or whatever?
I fill them with lint from the dryer and use them like that. stuffing the lint into the tube, it doesn't readily fall out on it's own, so I don't bother with the wax :hu
