Making progress! I'll dig up the little fig starts today and the plan is to ship them tomorrow. I'll let ya know if any thing changes. Sorry I'm just now getting to it. I don't procrastinate much!



No rush. Hard to gripe about a free tree! :D

I got a place for them tho! Love figs!

Fig trees came in today. Got an planted as soon as I got home. Fingers crossed!

11 trees and 2 blueberry bushes. Still need a few more. Im thinking of planting some pole beans and winter squash in the orchard.

Are you mulching to add humus or to choke out grass/weeds? If you can get your hands on cardboard, lay it down first, then cover with mulch.

Be careful with the squash in the orchard. The vines can climb and will take down your trees if you don't make 'em behave.

Things are looking good, your hard work is showing.

Baymule I planted some of those long beans on poles. Hope they can climb! :D

I'm trying to choke out the grass, add humus and reduce mowing! :D I layed cardboard and then 6 inches of woodchips. Still have a long way to go but I ran out of cardboard.

Thanks for tip on the vines. I'll keep on top of them!
