Roasting them worked. Not fantastic, but good. I mixed spices in olive oil, dredged chunks of turnip and rutabaga in it and roasted at 450 degrees.

Did ya try sprinkling them with some balsamic vinegar? We really like most of our roasted veggies with a nice drizzle. :drool

Very pretty! So, they're a sweet type pickle? I've never even thought about pickling a radish! Good to know!

Well I been busy as a bee. Work is in high gear. Seems people want their a.c. working when it's 90+. Who knew?
We been working around the homestead non stop clearing fence lines, burning brush, and mowing. And for the last week or so I've been on an axe kick. Can't seem to stay out of the shop. Seems i keep finding myself in there rehanging old axes and such. Even started making a handle from bowdarc. That would have been a good video but the wife wasn't gonna tape it for me.

Bay the green beans are up. Seems I got around 50% success. Fem the little figs had one leaf each when I planted them. No signs of life but I'm not counting them out yet. They may be in shock. Or maybe I have to work on my tree planting skills idk

Just keep 'em moist...and your fingers crossed! :fl

I started pulling up all the little fig sticks that I had stuck in the ground and dang it if I didn't pull up one that little roots started on it....and it looked dead, dead dead, lol. Some of 'em like to play possum!

Your place looks great. It's easy to tell that you put a lot of hours into it!
