I do it kinda like this guy. Except i skin them and then lop the legs and head off with an axe. Very quick

The wife made fried rabbit tonight. It was wonderful. Gave them a soak in buttermilk, spiced them, battered and fried. It was pretty darn good!

Waiting for the day when everything on the plate is from our work. That will be great!

Well another doe kindled. The bunny count is up to 13. Should have been higher but one doe only had 3. She normally has 6 or 7.


All that rain really did a number on my lawn. I finally got to mow today and now it looks like i need someone to bail it. Im covered in grass clippings. I read somewhere that people mulch with grass clippings. Is this ok for the garden? I bet i could add an inch of mulch with all this stuff

Or i could add it to the deep litter in the chicken coop and let them compost it.

It is a good feeling to sit down for a meal and everything is what you raised and grew except for the salt and pepper!

By all means, fill the coop with grass clippings! The chickens will enjoy it and make you compost.
