Vacation? Evil white stuff = Vacation???

yes, i can garden here all season (when the weather cooperates) as much as my body can handle. it doesn't snow here every day. we don't have a snow blower or a plow so we shovel by hand. i like the exercise, so does Mom, we actually argue sometimes about who gets to shovel (i say leave me half and she'll shovel almost all of it). when we had older neighbors i would go shovel them too but since they moved away i've not had to do that.

I almost bought 120 acres up near the article circle. I mean I could have just bought it, moved up there and been lonely for the rest of my life. Because my wife said beautiful yes, but no way, too cold for too long, She's right you know. I do know it takes someone special to live in Alaska 24x7x365, so I applaud you and your husband and kids 👍

My dad once saw this great place for sale... on the isle of Mann! My mom said it looked great, but she was NOT moving with him. So yeah, he didn't buy it.

I thought it looked great!

Newly surgerized eye is a bit scratchy... but NICE to have the eyes match.

But also. CRAZY, because I can see distance, but zilcho close up. I was looking ultra dorky trying to zip up my coat. I could not see the end of the zipper to get them to meet.

Glory to God!!! They gave me readers so I can see my phone and zip my coat...

But though I have been blind all my life, I have never done this on and off thing...

It will take some getting used to... but once I do it will rock.

Funny thing though... spouse was all "wow! The colors! So bright! So bright!"

And I was all "yeah, yeah, brighter, sure... but... I can SEE!!!!! Who cares if more lights suddenly turned on, and all colors shifted, I can SEE!"

And spouse "but the COLORS!!!! Turns out kid 3 isn't tan at all... he is white" and me "eh, who cares what color the kid is... I can SEE him!"
:hugs
I'm so happy for you :celebrate you can see
