Journaling is a wonderful way to get feelings out. I personally like to "talk" to friends that way in private.

Got a great haul at Costco last night. Good prices on meat there.
In other news, I pulled about 10 dead tomato plants up and 5 dead marigolds up this morning. It looks like my peppers and more tomatoes are next. I'm starting to think there is some severe compaction going. I didn't pay much attention to it. Which explains why I have had to replant so much corn and beans. And also why I am still waiting for other stuff to come up. My neighbor is going to bring me manure this fall. He has some right now, but I think it is too far gone to fix anything.
Oh well, there's always next year.

Here is a better photo of momma and her babies. She hatched three in all, and looks to be a rooster and two hens. I have them set apart in their own building as of last night. If had done that before, I probably could've hatched more...oh well.
School is cancelled today. We are in the midst of major flooding in the region. Luckily, we are unaffected because we live on top of a cliff. If it floods here then the rest of the world is gone.
I'm going to try and go to the doctor today. I don't feel bad, but I have kept a fever all weekend. I am sweating up a storm right now. My glasses are steamed up. Not sure why I am doing this, but its happening nonetheless.
I also want to check my late green beans. They should be ready. They're probably too mature.

Chicks always make us feel better!
Still not doing well. I didn't work today. I took a day of sick leave. I woke up in sweats this morning. I have been feeling better this evening, but was running another fever about 20 minutes ago. I don't understand. My cough has gotten worse, and I have gotten more congested. I plan on working regardless tomorrow.
Any good tips on improving health? I have gained some weight, and also hate being sick...
I have spent the day catching up on paper work, and looking up off grid properties...
