Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

If our water holds out, it looks like we'll have a decent garden this year. Amazingly, in this heat, the peas have NOT pooped out yet! We don't have enough to can, but I'm picking enough to give us a good batch for dinner every few days.

We got a brief shower yesterday afternoon at 4:30 and lots of thunder and lightning. Barely 1/8” of rain, but it settled the top layer of dust. It also cooled off, helping the beleaguered AC unit. This morning we’ll leave at 7AM to be at the feed store when they open at 8:00 so we can get our 1500 pounds of feed, get home , unload and put away before the heat hits the stratosphere. Then hibernate under the AC.

Muttering……… I actually bought tomatoes……… my garden sucks this year…..

My garden is the most pathetic garden I've ever grown.

Still hot here. We do have a slight chance of rain over the weekend. Peppers are producing, green beans are growing and tomatoes are still putting out a few here/there.
