Officially excused from raking any more leaves! Lolol
High southwest winds are taking care of our leaves even as I type this. One plus to living on a hill with row crop fields to the south and west. 👍

Ok, well I looked at all 33 pages of BYC coop /runs,,
We are defiantly going to take photos and document how and why, when we build our new coop. The new walk-in coop will have a roof line that extends out at least 6 feet of the run for summer shade and winter dryness, the run will be very large so the current flock doesn't get on each others nerves. The coop will be at min. 8X16, we'll see. I want to have a corner set up for the brooder.
The windows on the current 6X8 coop are to high, it is really hard for short Grandma to get them open-so lower windows-

So, more to com on the thinking / planning
I put a brooder under a poop shelf. I use a front wall that is removable, so it can be a brooder OR completely open to the coop. Roofing the run as much as possible is a great thing.

To all of my extended SS Family
I am thankful for you.
Thankful we can gather here everyday and so far across the miles hold each other up in words and prayer.
