I, for one, am glad February is over and am hoping for a better March! 
March is bound to be better because we set the clocks forward on the 11th so the days will be lighter, longer!
Spent the better part of today taking the "family stress" aggravation out on a section of our future orchard. The area had managed to get a bit unruly with resprouting, sawed-off tree trunks and suckers from the roots. Got 3/4th of the suckers removed and dug out most of the stumps so that I can burn them out. Weather permitting, I'll finish of the last 1/4th later today by digging out the small patch of blackberry brambles. The mattocks is becoming my favorite stress reliever.
We bought 7 young berry bushes yesterday, a great way to end February, if you ask me!
We got 2 Pixwell Gooseberries, 1 White Imperial Currant, 1 Red Lake Currant, 1 'Crandall' Black Curant, 1 Jostaberry and a Goji Berry. The area I'm working on will be their new home.
Well, I'm gonna get myself to bed but will be back later today with some pix of what I've been working on.

Well the wind is absolutely crazy here and about all I'm getting done outside is making sure that nothing blows away.
We hit 81 degrees F earlier and the temp is steadily dropping...down to 66 now and supposed to get down to the lower 30's tonight. Yay...just in time for our peach tree to decide to start blooming!
We'll cover it with a blanket tonight and hope for the best.

The area of the orchard that I'm getting cleared out/cleaned up:
The bags are full of leaves from one of our neighbors. Some day, when the wind dies down, I'll drag the chipper/shredder out and get the leaves shredded for mulch in this area.

Pretty day here but it'd be much nicer without the wind! I really need to get some small stumps burned out of the berry area of the orchard but it won't happen until we get a break from the wind and the humidity goes back up...it's down to 24% today.
Was glad I wrestled a blanket onto the peach tree...had frost on the mailbox at 2 a.m., when I took up stuff for todays mail.
Still working on getting the berry patch cleaned up today, but needed to take a break and warm back up a bit. I'll be tackling the blackberry brambles when I head back out. Yay!!!

I've been ready for Spring since last Spring. We had about 2 weeks of it then summer showed up early and stayed.

I had never seen the mini's before. Last year my aunt told us to come get some of the daffs that grow around the old homeplace on her land since they needed to be thinned out. Came home with three, 5 gallon buckets full of daff bulbs. I thought my uncle had planted the mini's but she said they were there when they bought the place 30+ years ago. We'll be doing another daff dig during doc's week off...he just doesn't know it yet and I'll use the "Bubba needs a dog-day-out excuse".

I love wildflowers!
I was surprised at some of the ones that don't grown on our land but found a place to buy some of the ones I'd like to get naturalized here.
At the same time, I was also suprised to find some of the unique plants that we do have...Whorled Milkweed and Wild Yellow Passion Flower.
And you know as well as I do that a watched mailbox never...never...um, never...Oops, nevermind. I don't know what a watched mailbox does or doesn't do.
