Maybe they found a friendly neighbor who is feeding them. When did you leave and how long have you been back?

Have you checked with the local dog catcher. Our dog catcher has some interesting pick-ups... so far he has told us about: 2 yak caught running wild, a 50 pound pet pig, 2 peacocks and 3 sheep.

oh my goodness!!! They don't even pick up cats here. Dogs only, that's all the county has a contract for. There's no animal control here, and the county pound is hours away, so friendly pet dogs hang out at the local police station for a day while pics spread around FB.

Same here... except they go to the humans society after hanging out at the police station for a bit. What we do have is a lot of "do-gooder" types who keep finding cats outside and bringing them to the humane society. They're outdoor cats people! Leave them alone! Lol

2 yr old ewe had quads today - all dead already. She had triplets last year and all died within 12 hours of birth - 2 died in the sacks. I think she's going to the next livestock auction. or the freezer. :grumble:
