I keep forgetting to watch. This is why I never am up to date on modern things that would make me culturally apt ;)

I'll remember some time.

i'm thru the victorian on and up to episode 7 in edwardian! i just love it!

and yep, i didnt like the pioneer one b/c of all the complaining. i loved it tho when one of them ditched the show, walked to a bar and had a beer. i laughed pretty good at that one. and even back then i knew they were milking the goats wrong
;-)

we laughed at one of the episodes last nite - the day in the life one - um.. thats kinda our day right there. 'ceptin' i'm not washing the floor at 6 in the AM. when they were getting a gander my hubby (who hates the lot of them) was yelling at the TV "dont do it! dont get that stupid gander! take him back!"

ha! i still love OD my mean gander and i dont care who knows.
;-)

i'm totally loving the series. but those guys and the chasing of the sheep and cows is just so stressful for me! i think our grandpa woulda gone out there with his stock cane, smacked them boys for runnin' the stock, and gently herded everyone where they should have been.

i wish they would have shown the butchering process tho.. but i'm guessing it would have been too much for most folks.

i'm on a mission to watch the rest of it today. whoooot!
OOOh! Theres a pioneer one?? Where, where??? :D

Ruth Goodman is a British freelance historian of the Early Modern period specialising in offering advice to museums and heritage attractions.[1] She is a specialist in British social history and is a presenter of the BBC educational documentary series Victorian Farm, Victorian Pharmacy and Edwardian Farm.[2] She also presented the 2005 series Tales from the Green Valley,[1][3] and occasionally presents features for The One Show.

She has been a consultant to the Victoria & Albert Museum and Shakespeare in Love.[1] She is also a member of the Tudor Group, a re-enactment organisation for the Tudor period.[4][5] As a result of her social history research, she has stopped using detergents in her washing machine, never eats factory-farmed food, and sometimes cooks on an open wood fire.
we need to get this woman on here!
