I love snakes

I guess I kinda like 'em too despite being bitten by a copperhead when I was a teenager. I don't hold no grudges! I think they have a place in our ecosystem so I try not to kill them indiscriminately...

Cowboy is lovely! :love Yikes on the snakes.. I love them too, in spite of being bit myself, but it is startling when you come across one suddenly. So glad I don't have to worry about them here!

Had to work today. Took some students to a college open house about 30 miles from us. It was a decent trip and the kiddos liked it. Eh...not a bad way to spend a work day...

Soooo - came home to a little pipping sound inn the incubator! We have a quail baby! Woo Hoo!

Quick! 16 - 17 days. These are at 17 days today...almost to the hour. I set them in the afternoon and the first one hatched 17 days later - in the afternoon. I could hear it chirping in the shell this morning and it was out when I got home.
