My neighbor is awesome about sharing. I'm not sure if he has a meat saw - I need to talk to him about that! I'm trying to remember what we used last time and I think we used our Sawzall, lol.
I've had conflicting thoughts about the cool room - only because until we retire I'm not sure it makes sense to do it now. DH and I are so tied up with out jobs and it's all we can do to keep things barely going now! He usually works a minimum of 60 hours a week. I have more free time than he does, but every day that I'm off it RAINS! And, I often work at least one Saturday a month...sometimes two. For that I get a day off during the week, which I love, but if I want to do a BIG job - like butchering - I'd be on my own.
But, after we retire - I hope we can butcher pretty much all our meat - except beef. I have no interest in raising beef.
