Gosh, FEM, who let the idiots out? You poor dear Hope you had some good wine handy and the hot tub fired up after this one!

Ya know, usually after a good night's sleep things don't seem so bad...but it still feels that way this morning. I just looked at our receipt for the meal that we had to wait for-ever on...and the idiots charged us tax. We are tax exempt. That means that I have to deal with their inept a$$es again on Monday. I think the part that annoyed me more than anything was that they guy never apologized. An "I'm so sorry" would have went a long way with me.

I missed a couple of calls from my good neighbor this morning. The volume on my phone was still turned down from yesterday. I called him back thinking he might want to butcher a pig - but nope, lol. He told me his kids left the gate open yesterday and the horses were out this morning. But, he already had them put up. YAY! I apologized for not answering my phone, and told him I was kinda glad I didn't hear it because at least I didn't have to slop around in the mud chasing horses, lol.

I need to unload a bunch of bananas that the food pantry gave me for the pigs. I've got a BUNCH of stuff this past week. Probably 200 lbs of carrots and at least that much in bananas...an occasional apple, some peppers and a few pineapples just to see if pigs like 'em. Who woulda thunk that a pig would tackle a pineapple like it was the best thing he ever tasted? I really didn't think they would, but they eat 'em thick skin and all.

Need another cup of coffee and then I havta get busy.

Ugh on having to deal with them again, they could have at least been decent!

Pigs LOVE sweet things, anything sweet, so I can imagine pineapples must be like candy for them Wonderful blessings from the food pantry for them! That's something I love about pigs, they turn unwanted food into delicious pork.

Yes - it's usually a free for all when I toss stuff out. Goats, pigs, dogs and horses jump into the middle of it. It's funny to see Cowboy strut off with a huge carrot in his mouth, lol.

I even had broccoli crowns this time and the horses and goats eat them too... I'm constantly amazed. And potatoes....almost forgot that they like potatoes too.

It's a hoot! Cowboy rules the melee. I have to fuss at him for running the horses off...and after I do he let's them get their share. The horses rule the pigs. But, the horses tend to stay in one place and guard their share while the pigs run from pile to pile looking for the best stuff...and the goats just get what's left. I usually feed the goats their grain before I put out all the other stuff. I kind of prefer they eat good grain rather than old mushy produce, lol.

I hardly did a thing on my "to do list" yesterday. Had intended to knock out a couple of projects but 'stuff' kept getting in my way.

Saturday night after the no good, very bad day at the museum I went out and found Chester covered in Chester poo... ARGH! No reason for him to have yucky, icky scours - but he did. Membranes bright pink and he's been in a dry (LOL) pen for weeks. (Ok - nothing is dry around here but there's no graze/browse in it at all.) No grain for 36 hours, hay only, and some probiotics and he seems just fine today. No idea what it was... I'll try to get a fecal to the vet this week. I'm off Thurs/Friday so might get it done then.

Work has really leveled out after our _itch session with the VP. Boss is really trying so we're responding well and I'm happy to report that things seem good. Of course the VP is leaving at the end of this week and our boss won't really have a boss until someone new is hired. Yikes! Guess we'll still hold our breath a little until then.

Lucy's girls are 6 weeks old (exactly 42 days) days old now and are taller than the adult Nigi girls. It's CRAZY how they are growing. Cameo's babies NEVER come out of the crate when I'm out there so I feel like I never see them...even though I did get a glimpse of them outside playing yesterday so they're alive at least, lol. They looked like they're growing and filling out well. But - I don't know how cuz I'm milking Cameo every day now and getting at least 1/2 gallon each milking...mostly from one teat. Geeze...her babies are just dumb!

Planning to get some tomatoes started this weekend while I'm off too. Things are greening up all over the place! I'm ok with that - now if it would just. stop. raining!
We're gonna catch it again tonight...geeze! I'm just amazed at how much rain we've gotten in the last 6 months or so....oh heck...in the last 2 years or so!

I'm hungry - need to find something keto-ish to munch on...

We are getting rain too. I need to get the tractor in the garden and disc it all up. Haven't done that since the first garden, have just been layering cardboard, horse, sheep and chicken poop. There is a black layer of rich soil 10 to 12 inches deep now.
