Don't know about anybody else, but we're STILL colder than normal here! It was nice on Monday, now it feels like we're back into winter. It's cold and windy, and I just don't feel like working outside. I'm tired of doing wood. I'm tired of driving the truck. I wanna ride my bike. They're calling for more cold tomorrow, and we could get rain on Friday.

So, how is the weather where you are?

It's snowing! :) It's very early for Ireland. We usually get snow around January/February, if at all.

Cold rain & sleet last 2 days here. Yesterday some huge, wet flakes mixed into it all. We had a skim of white on the vehicles, grass, etc. Sunny and melted today.
Glad. It was very cold nights...upper 20s. "They" say mid 50 days and mid to upper 20 nights thru Thurs, no precip. GREAT -- because I am off Mon thru Wed and want to use those 3 days well.

Off this AM, cold, light wind but SUNNY -- nice weather to do chores and animals are all happy rain is gone. Ahhhh....I now need to get ready for work. Giving cookies away for 6 hrs at a WalMart. Yep -- will be a busy afternoon. LOL

We got a lot of snow for here for this time of the year. We are on day 3 of having snow on the ground. I didn't measure, but we probably got 6-9inches. It was very heavy and wet, great for packing! We had a lot of branches down, and a lot of people lost power. We could hear trees falling in the woods behind us. Everyone was under a travel ban until the roads cleared a bit. (Here 1 inch shuts things down.) I'm really excited about the slow slow melt!
It brought down our chicken netting, but that's easy to fix. it wasn't meant to hold up hundreds of pounds of snow. We almost lost our greenhouses under the weight, but we're able to get the proofs cleared before they collapsed. The weatherman predicted a "trace"... Then 1-3"... Then 5-10"... :)

I live in ALABAMA!. I didn't even bring my winter stuff or shovels when I left Wisconsin. I left them at my mom's house. Silly me!

We were really glad to get the snow. I gladly ate my words! I had told my grandkids that we probably wouldn't get any snow while they were here, and would certainly not get enough to make a snowman!! :)

All our chickens were under here! But the roof held. They had the two smaller coops and an 8x16' area to move around in until I could get to them...

Someone went off the road right past our driveway...

They used to be tougher about school cancellations. But when I was in high school a foreign exchange student was killed on the way to school with a friend because the roads were ice. They've been more careful since then. Plus the flatlanders from Mass and CT are trying to take over NH so everyone's getting a little wimpier. Oops.... Did I say that? :p
