Hurricane preparations

It's official, we have a tropical storm heading our way. They are expecting it to come up from west Cork and they are issuing warnings for Dublin, which means it will come over Co Tipperary, where I live, on the way. Better stock up on bread and milk before everyone else does. After Ophelia, the moment they say "storm" everyone storms to the shops here lol As long as we don't lose power we'll be o.k. otherwise.

Thanks, I'm staying in today! I'm hoping it will blow over today, as they said it would, and the roads will be clear tomorrow. I need to get to Waterford!

Right now it's calm outside, so I'm hopeful. Early this morning a caravan blew off a cliff in Co Galway with a poor woman inside. She got killed The coastal counties got hit hard by the storm last night and this morning.

A tree fell on a car in Co Offaly. Pics here: https://www.irishmirror.ie/news/irish-news/storm-ali-ireland-weather-warning-13271869 The driver escaped with minor injuries, thank goodness. The western counties got hit and then it moved over towards Dublin and the counties up north from there. Apart from some fierce wind we down here got spared the worst! It looks like (for the moment) we're good until the next one…
