I don't care about letting the govt. use my money for a bit. I don't care about missing 1 year of insterest, (like that is alot now right? lol--so low it doesn't matter on regular savings)

I get back close to $6K each year. For me, I would NEVER save that money. So I use it as a cushion for savings and believe me, do that over 10 years and YOU DO QUITE well in the old savings acct..LOL

And out of that money my big vacation is always paid in cash.


While I put $50 away every week automatically from his check and save another couple a month when I can---I can't bank that big money that my refund becomes!

So it works very well for my family! :)
 
And so here I sit - fooling around this forum instead of doing my taxes. I always procrastinate...... This is you - finished :ya This is me :caf
 
I am waiting for W-2 still.....ugh

I don't have hardly any of the paperwork to even think of starting my taxes.
Where is it all???????????? LOL


I pay to have someone do mine. Well worth it for me cause she finds things I had no idea I could deduct. I like that. :)

I'm still waiting on all of our stuff to come in the mail. I like to have them done before Feb., but it looks like it won't happen this year. :barnie I want my money! We need to adjust our withholdings again, I think.
 
We have all of the BF's stuff, but now I have to get around and do it. I'm not looking forward to it, because he has all of this extra junk. He's got a house, a truck, a car, just bought the house last year and has some rebate thing on it, just bought the truck last week, etc. So, his is a lot more detailed than mine. I just had the EZ page to do. I'm afraid of messing his up! But, we've gotta get the returns back before we go on our cruise!
 
We have had someone do our taxes forever. We get a refund as well. Not sure what it will be this year with the income change. One thing that works for us is the E file. No matter how long it takes to get all my stuff together and finished after tax man is done we get our return within 10 days. Auto deposited as well.

The only problem I foresee this year is the k 1 form that will come from fil. He usually works the system for a while and we suffer because of it.

Great job Abie, I wish ours was still the EZ form.
 
So, I finally got off of my butt and did the boyfriend's taxes. OMG, they were so easy! Heck, if anything, I think they were easier than any I've done for myself, and I've always done the EZ file! Now I just have to wait ten years for my company to send out my w2's. :/

I believe Fed law says they have to be mailed by Jan 31st so wait another week or call you HR department.
