I also like knitting 1 foot squares from scrap bits of leftover yarn from other projects. When you have enough of them, you can stitch them together into lovely afghans or scarves, or even sweaters (hint- fold a square into a tube and attach to make a sleeve). I use these to experiment with new stitch patterns that I run across too.

I don't have a picture, but DD made a hat thing for her brother at Christmas that covered his ears with flaps and had a long piece in the back to cover his neck. It was perfect for his Alaskan adventure.

She now has a request for ten of them by April. Lol

I would love to know how to totally knit. I can do the middle parts but I can't start, end, or make a new line :hide
I just have basic knitting skills. I'm very slow to learn! Every time I cast off or graft I go to youtube and watch a tutorial in slow motion. I've been knitting for 30 years. 😅
