My sweater is in knitting time out until I stop being upset about my attempts to pick up and knit the sleeves

so I’m making yarn today (I prefer this part anyway)

DD2 decided she wanted short sleeves! So I just tidied up and finished them… and made a matching hat…

and I just pulled this off the loom, my first attempt at weaving. I don’t know what it is, it’s just random weaving but now I feel like I can tackle an actual project, and I know what I need to work on (like my wonky edges!) oh, the warp, the yarn you put on the loom first, is commercial yarn, but the weft, all the colored yarn you weave with, is all hand spun by me

Thanks! I have no idea what I’m doing and I’m new to all of it but I’m definitely having fun if nothing else! DH said I needed a hobby… now he says I could have chosen a cheaper hobby but, next year it’ll cost us next to nothing because I have all the equipment, and a bunch of wool!
