Glad to hear about all that mess! Sometimes anger is a good sign.

So.....did ya see my question about the pictures of the disbudding? If you can't post them I'd love to see them through email. I'd like to get my girls done by this weekend.

My son took these as I was reading lips.

I wish he had gotten a closer shot of this one.

She was deciding whether to do more.

YOU'RE THE BEST!

Looks sorta like how the goat I did looked...

Except - she left the nubs on right? That's how it looks in the last picture.

I'm just really courious if all these 'pros' can feel how much pressure they put on the heads. When I did it I found it difficult to press down on with the iron since it was already burning a ring just being near the head.

Practice makes perfect, I guess!

The woman that taught us said not to use any pressure, just to touch it to the head if that makes sense. I won't know until I try. And she scraped the caps off right after and put on some aloe.

From my one experience, it's useless to try and use any pressure because it was like putting a straw into water. The iron sorta "sunk" into the skin since it was literally melting it, know what I mean?

It seemed like O was using very light pressure. She did stop and peel off little pieces periodically, about twice per bud.

She said Emilee's were at the "perfect" stage which made me happy, as she is our keeper.

All three did really well so I'm hopeful it was a fairly positive experience.

I wish I had gotten more pictures.

I feel better now after seeing your photos - Hubby also thinks we did a decent job. And he said it's probably better that we may have done not quite enough than to have done too much because we can go back and re-do it if necessary. I can breathe now :)
