That is so precious. I have an idea for the painting party. Paint a flower garden on the front wall.

I thought that too. I was thinking of maybe painting the front or one side with chalkboard paint. I'll have to see if I have any left. Then the flowers could grow and change.
I can see this little house being converted to a roadside veggie stand at some point, or maybe a quick winter greenhouse, a chicken coop for the winter, a rabbit house, oh the possibilities. My grandkids live cross country so it probably won't stay as a playhouse.

Sooo, I didn't get the house painted, but she's having a fabulous time in it. I added an old rope hammock I rescued out of a friend's trash dumpster, and a little recliner we found at the side of the road. If my hubby ever kicks me out, I'm moving into there. That old rope hammock is so super comfortable!!

Meanwhile, DH has also been busy. He decided I needed a pantry. So he's been building one himself from some of the free wood crates we've been getting. So these are the beginning pictures. This is what the crates look like when we get them:

And this is what DH is turning it into:

This will be one of two sections. This has three drawers for dry storage. The other will be for canned food. Right now in the kitchen I have one very small cupboard for food storage. I have no basement; no cellar; no dark, cool storage. Grocery shopping usually means I have a few boxes of food on and under the table that we keep moving until we eat it... I'll post more pictures as it develops...

Cute, cute! Are those sliding shelves?

Yes, @frustratedearthmother, the shelves are sliding. They are about 20 inches front to back, and each one is tall enough to store gallon jars with a little extra room. DH plans on insulating it so it can stay outside on the deck or in the carport. This is section one of two, and each one is almost 5' tall (before adding wheels) by 3' wide, and 2' deep. (I think the picture makes it look smaller). There will be two doors, opening from center, and they will be able to be locked.
