Well, I meant to start this thread before the first babies were born but.... That didn't happen!

I'll post the story tomorrow but we have a buckling and a doeling, the first kids born on the farm to Patty! Both are clean, dry, nursing and snuggling with mom!

I'm trying, my phone won't upload them. Ugh!!

My herd queen, who isn't due for another month, tried to steal the babies! Lol! Then just about broke down the stall when we got Patty and the babies separated. I think she's gonna be a good mom. Although apparently a confused one.

Had issues getting them to nurse, particularly the buck, but they got it!

I had a horse one time try to steal another mare's foal - OH MY GOSH you wouldn't believe that fight!

So glad the new family has it all figured out now and they (and YOU) can get some sleep tonight.

Oh gosh I bet! I'm kind of considering separating Mimosa in case she tries to steal everyone's babies lol!

Ah sleep... If the human munchkin will let me, yes, I will sleep!

Oh wow, congratulations! Would love to see the babies.

Mama and babies are great this morning! She's a wonderful mom, thank goodness. It was cold last night, I love my fancy heat lamps!

Lilly (Nigerian) or Peppermint (Patty's twin) might be next. My bet is on Lilly, although I thought she would go first!

I can't image the fight that went on when the Queen went for the kids and I HAVE seen a mare try to steal another's baby (her's was a still born) and OMG that fight was terrible so we ended up skinning the baby and wrapped it around an orphaned mule baby and then she was happy).
