It's so sad for them! They look even sillier than normal!

Yeah, I don't think he's excited lol. No, he doesn't care but he is taking a bit of an hourly pay cut. But, health and dental and paid holidays... and in 3 months he'll likely get a raise. It'll work out.

It will! It's hard to see a smaller paycheck, but the insurance and holidays will be a nice perk!

So, today I got excited and am making pumpkin bread. From scratch. I looked online for recipes for it, they said "from scratch "and started with "one 15oz can of Libby's pumpkin". Ugh. No. Pumpkin from garden! It has WAY too much sugar but oh well! It's amazing! And I have broth cooking down to make chicken soup for dinner. Mmmm fall!

Ya'll are killing me with these delicious sounding recipes! However, I did find a low carb pumpkin bread recipe the other day. Ya make it with almond flour. I just might have to give it a try this weekend.

Sounds like ya'll are gonna have a scrumptious dinner and dessert!

I can't do almond flour! You know, if I want my husband to survive lol. Does it taste like almond? Maybe I'll try it sometime when he's not home!

He is thrilled today. He started work and they (his dad and step-brother, lol) totally were like hey ADHD man, here's a list of stuff that needs to be done weekly, and here's the list of stuff that needs to get done when you have time. Have fun. uh, ok!

I've never noticed an almond taste. It does have a different texture than regular flour - it's more dense. I don't mind it. Coconut flour is another one that's good. I can make some dang good pancakes with coconut flour. My grandkids will scarf 'em up and never know they aren't the "regular" kind. DH and I like 'em too.

I think your husband will adjust and be just fine. Having benefits is a very good thing. Insurance can come in handy when you have two children.

Yes, well the kids have always had insurance, but now we all have decent insurance (my my how insurance has changed! Thanks Obama, ugh!) and dental.

I wonder about acorn flour. I'm gonna go look that up!

Oh, and the tractor we were gonna buy? Don't have to buy it, he said we can just keep it here and he only needs it twice a year. Uh, free full time access to a tractor? Yeah ok!

Obamacare

I haven't had insurance since I quit my job to care for my mom when I was 56. I can't afford it and the deductible for the cheapest plan was $10,000! In the past years, I think I have been to the Dr maybe 3 times, the highest bill was $245. So tell me WHY I have to pay a penalty for NOT spending $1,000 a month for useless SH!T insurance that won't pay a damn thing until I spend $10,000?????? At least Trump eliminated the penalty. I'm just waiting on Medicare. Once the Medicare premium is taken from my paltry SS, I might be able to pay the light bill with what's left....oh no, that is wrong. I'll be able to pay for my AARP United Healthcare supplemental plan.

Oh man, that's crazy! I think our deductible is $5,000 but physicals, blood work and immunizations are covered with no copay. That's 99% of what we need it for anyway.

Ok remind me that I'm not getting a boer/nubian doeling lol. Upon further questioning, the guy has issues with hoof rot and is currently having major parasite issues and I DO NOT WANT THAT! Thanks, lol. If Patty has a doeling I'll keep her and that's good enough for us.
