Man, quit taunting me with all that good weather stuff. :tongue

For the past month, if it's warm it's raining...if it's cold, it's just cold. I think I've used my dryer more in the last month than all last year.

Deep down, I'm just really jealous of you being outside working. Glad you got some things done.

OkieMommy -
I have a book on building forts, tree houses, treasure chests and such. You can borrow it, if you like. That is how we came to build the "big kids" fort. We got the zip line from www.visionforum.com and they love it, ofcourse. :D
We are just fortunate to have such a mild winter this year, I think. This is only my 3rd winter here. We usually have had ice storms and snow a few times by now.

I have spring fever something fierce! I can't wait to get my chicken coop, chicks, garden sprouting, birds singing . . kids running in the yard . . . :weee

That zip line is COOL!! A family from the church has one that goes from really high up in a tree into the middle of their pond! It is so cool! But, they only put it up once in a great while.

It has not snowed here since Wednesday morning but, we still have 4" of snow left on the ground from that! It has been in the 20's and 30's all week!

WOW most of the toys for boys are cool!!! Is it just me or do the ones for girls seem boring? Not all, and not saying that they don't instill good values, but there doesn't seem to be any adventure in the girls toys. Girls like adventure! Ya gots to, to keep up with the heart of a man!! :weee :weee

Hubby and I had a finanical meeting (something we have made a point to do at least once a week) and realized that our family has come up with so many ways to save money and pay off debts that I might be able to go to a part time job this fall!! I am so excited!!
We just had our propane tank filled. Another $532.00 bill. We have already paid $498 since the summer. We keep our thermastat at 65. Our youngest has asthma and we can't go any lower. Uhg. So, we have looked at inserts. We are so there! I can't wait until we have the cash on hand to get one installed. It will make a big difference next winter to not have that huge bill for propane. My 10 year old will be 11 tomorrow and we spent a whopping $8.00 on his birthday. He will love every bit of it, though. I love that my kids are making this transition so easily.
'nough ramblin' Off to read the rest of the site . . been offline for nearly a week. :)

Ohhhhhhh part-time sounds wonderful. Hope that happens for you. I know you will enjoy that.

Just think of all the things you will have time to do. The kids will love it.

Going part-time means more time to enjoy yourself and your family. It's great when all our hard work to save money finally rewards us. Good for you for a job well done.

Thanks for all the great messages of encouragement :hugs
My youngest son turned 11 today :clap
He is so great. He asked for a 2009 calendar and a football. I got the calendar for $1 on sale at the grocery store. It features a different dog each month and is a large wall calendar. He loves it. The football we found is a colliegate football by Nike. Brand new at Goodwill for $1 then I also found a delux ball pump that inflates and deflates things for $3 as well as a motorized gear marble run (with all the pieces and battery) for $3. He was so thrilled. I love that he is not materialistic. He and his siblings have been designing and redesigning marble runs all day :love
He is having 2 friends over for a camp out in the family room tomorrow. If the weather is nice DH and I will build them a fire in the back yard to make s'mores and zip down the line and all.

And to top off all the joy of today . . . I got my seeds in the mail :ya

Oooh . . come on spring!
