Thanks for the info I will have to build two pens. We haven't decided what to do with him yet. We might sell him when he gets bigger or see if we can trade him for a unrelated male so we can breed the female next year.

Not much in the way of homestead updates this week. Nothing got done other than the animals being feed. Unfortunately this is how I have been spending my days.

The one disadvantage to living away from the city medical treatment is an hour or so drive away. My days have been spent sleeping and driving back and forth to the hospital for iv antibiotics. I dont remember much of the beginning of the week but apparently I have some type of bacterial infection. Still waiting on test results as to what type.

Being sick is the worst! My DH had a bacterial skin infection and had to have IV treatments. It was only a 35 minute drive to the hospital though.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. At yesterday's iv treatment I was sent back to emerg and ended up having emergency surgery to drain some of the infection. Now I have to wait 48 hours to see how this heals to see if I need another surgery. Hopefully when the doctors do rounds today I can find out more about what's going on
