QA, I did umbilical training with our dog (another name for the training you are talking about) and he is my shadow now. He's also extremely well behaved. People were shocked when we'd only had him for 2 weeks and he'd sit on command. I taught him to permit me to go through all doors first. I haven't worked with him at all for the last year and he needs a "tuneup" but he still gets compliments from the neighbors even when I know he's been naughty.
