I tried both WalMart and the hardware store and neither have it. I read that you can use regular type 1 silicone that doesn't have the antimildew stuff in it since it will have very little actual water contact.

So today we secured the greenhouse poly that we put on yesterday. I just quickly screwed on some scrap 2x4 boards to secure it since it is supposed to storm the next few days. I will eventually replace those with some painted 1x4s. I used the poly off the old greenhouse. It has a couple of tears in it but nothing bad that can't be fixed with some tape. It was muddy from all the rain the other day and really heavy too. It was everything we could do to get it over the frame. There is an oil well with work going on right across from where we were building it at and I could just imagine them laughing watching a crazy woman and 3 kids trying to figure out how to get a muddy piece of plastic over it. Honestly though considering I have never really built anything on my own before I think it looks really good. It is made out of 10 4x4 spaced 6 ft apart with 5 on each side and PVC arches for the rafters. I had planned on heating and bending the PVC into the right curve, but I couldn't find my little propane torch and wasn't going to spend the money on a new one. So instead we just secured them into the right curve with another piece of PVC across the bottom. Basically big sideways Ds. Then we secured those to the posts and to each other to keep them from wobbling. After we got the plastic on I realized one of the posts was crooked, but I wasn't about to take the whole thing apart to fix it. I know it's going to drive me crazy though that one being out of line. It is 24" long and 12" wide and about 9" tall. The amazing thing about it is that it actually looks like a greenhouse! We also fixed two little ridges along the edge to catch the rainwater and direct it down to barrels at the ends. The sides are be made where they will roll up in the summer. That was a major issue with the old one. It needed more ventilation in the summer. So far we have built it for the price of some zip ties(that didn't work) and a pound of nails! Of course that will go up when I get the plastic sheeting for the ends and the 1x4s.

No worries! I think we'd have figured that out!

Last couple of days we've been getting the garden area ready and today I started tilling. It has been absolutely beautiful the last week other than a day or two of clouds and misty rain earlier this week. It was almost 70 today! Anyway I tilled about half the garden with my new to me tiny tiller. I LOVED it and it was sooo easy to use! I was just kinda off in my own little world tilling away and thinking about what a beautiful day it was and what a great garden we were going to have this year. Anyway we also got the door of the greenhouse almost finished. I am really thinking it may be better to use the plastic from the hardware store because the poly I have is getting old and has several tears in it now. I can fix them but it isn't all that pretty. New poly is around $150 and is just out of the question. I wouldn't care how it looked, but we live next to a highway that's fairly busy and, well, it would be different if it were just me looking at it! Lol At one point I thought about just taking the whole thing down, but the kids out voted me. They wanted to keep it whether it was ugly or not. I am sooo tired and tomorrow is going to be all day with the homeschool group. They have an art class at nine till noon the swimming indoors from noon till three. I know they are going to have a blast!
