Fluffy Pancakes

2 cups self rising flour
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 egg
1/2 cup water

easy peasy!

add cinnamon if you like. add fruit if you like. for extra fluff you can add another egg if you wish.
I don't know what self-rising flour is. Anyone?

I think I'm going to be making pancakes for my son every morning for a while.

If you google self rising flour alternative or substitution (or something like that) you should get some alternatives. It just has leavening already added.

For plain flour add a quarter teaspoon of baking soda per cup ;)

Just realized we don't buy buttermilk. I've been looking around online and this recipe looks OK:

1 c flour
1T sugar
1 t salt
1-1/2 t baking powder

1 egg
1/4 c oil
1 c milk

I don't know how much it makes. I'm going to try it. Mix up the dry parts tonight and try it in the morning.

What's a dog breeding kennel?? Remember, I live in airy fairy land, we only do private breeding and rescues in my town.

Now I want pancakes! Guess what I'll be having for breakfast tomorrow. (Just wish I had some bacon to go w/them!)

It a business producing dogs. Not at all like a puppy mill or a commercial breeder. These produce some of the best dogs out there in their breed and have long waiting lists for puppies.

"Private breeding" sounds like "backyard breeders" irresponsible breeders which are largely responsible for driving dogs, their breeds and temperaments into the ground.

Lol no, they are AKC show. No pet store around here even sells dogs, the one that did bred their own. My store paved the way by having rescues come in and using space to adopt out.
