rodeogirl's journey to being self-sufficient

My husband loves hominy. He is Mexican American and I have a southern tradition so we both like it. I usually cook it with smoked sausage. Sometimes I will throw a can of it in taco soup but it probably would be good in any soups.

The best part about working in a restaurant kitchen, it makes 80° feel like 40.

What are you thinking about to be companions?

I'm planning on doing the three sisters gardening method and I always mix my carrots and radishes, tomatoes basil peppers will be planted in the front with marigolds.

I want to try 3-sisters too. Even though I've been told that planting radishes in the squash will keep squash borers away I still want to try this companion combo. I really didn't have any pest on my squash last year but this year may be different because it's the second of this garden spot.

I'm planning on having one hill squash corn an beans and the other cucumbers corn an peas

So Silas was a trouper with his shots today barely even cried, although that might of had something to do with me telling him that he could have ice cream when we got home.
