I don't do the dressing....that's hubby's dept. Depending on where we are, we sometimes dress in the field, but close to home we hang them in the garage and do the whole deed there, then let them hang for a couple of days before processing (assuming the weather cooperates).

And hey, maybe not a "Buckzilla", but not bad for my second deer! (He did have kind of a strange rack). It was also my first "solo" hunt...DH had a long week and slept in, and I got this guy while I was stalking the edge of a big field behind the house. So much more exciting than sitting in a stand.

By the way, we had some of DH's doe tenderloin - NO comparison. A big buck is nice for my bragging rights, but once it's in the pan he's the one doing the bragging.
