i got the top part of the north garden done! still have two edges to weed but those are downhill and not as critical.

i need to pick tomatoes soon for canning and i did pick some peppers today for making stuffed peppers this afternoon/evening and a few tomatoes for eating.

there's a lot of beans that will be ready to pick too as i can get to them. it is not going to be a bumper crop.

grr! i don't like changes... i really don't like changes i don't understand or have all the facts of the matter.

a few weeks ago we needed our hot water heater replaced and that did happen but then the water coming out of the faucets was tepid to warm.

i thought it was something that happened with the plumbing that changed the pressures or flows or something but today we had the plumber out to check things and we verified that the water is coming out of the well that warm.

yes, we've had warm weather and all that but the well is deep and we've had cold water for almost 30yrs and this is warmer than we've ever had water coming out of there before. last year was also very warm and dry but it was all cold water. so, erm, someone lit it on fire down there?

anyways, i miss having a nice cold glass of water and it does make it harder for me to process tomatoes if the water isn't cold enough but i guess i'll have to cope with that. i'll grumble about it though...

Wow, that's really strange. My well is deep ( over 500') and water cold but, the first run isn't as cold until it pumps out of lines, etc. I have a pressurized tank, also. Now if that tank were in a warm area, I'd suspect I'd get warmer, longer. The lines to my barn aren't thru that tank, so it's really nice & cool sooner. Maybe you have a tank that's getting warm?? What's odd is that it began just after the new HW tank. 🤔 Location, insulation, size, new lines run...next to cold ones????
