not too much obvious damage in the tomato plants that i could see today (a few fruits on the ground that were chewed) will pick tomorrow. i think there should be several buckets worth - never know until i get them picked and sorted.

this morning i had to get out and do some dry bean pod picking before the rains came along - definitely not a big harvest this season but whatever happens is ok with me. it was a good afternoon for a nap. :)

rains very welcome even if i don't really want a lot of rain right now the rest of the wildlife and plants out there can use a good drink and they've certainly got that.

weather next week looks great with some days in the mid-60sF. :) it will be a great relief to be able to do things outside and not have to worry about the heat.

picked 4 buckets of tomatoes this morning and had another bucket of rejects that got buried. it is going to be busy afternoon getting these rinsed off and sorted out and then i'll take a break for a bit before starting in on canning the ones that are the most ready.

the ants are going after the tomatoes they are so sweet. i've not had that happen before. maybe also because of it being dry... hmm...
