@Alaskan praying for great results on eye surgery for both of you! My DD had retinal detachment years ago after an auto accident. Not good thing to have happen.

Now, in your weather, driving would be scary for you or son! Hope that all goes well. I suspect the main roads have some grading by the state? Maybe not so much snow where your going either. You know I am NOT a snow person....so driving is only one of the reasons why! ;) :old

Highly variable!

The big city has less snow, but colder.

We have to drive through a mountain pass to get there.

Unless it is summer and roads are dry.. I always find the turns and such a bit anxiety producing. It is gorgeous.

That mountain pass section is prone to avalanches... and then there is a bit that is prone to rock falls.

The older I get the more anxious I get. :th

same here,, it all stresses me out, driving on ice = stress max
 
its clear and very cold here at 3:30am, over the other side of the Mt. cloudy and rain/snow mix, DDIL said all the kids were out playing in the little 3inches of snow they got over night yesterday
I made coffee and got the fire going,
