can tell the spring is coming the birds are a lot more active and making more noise.

I can tell by the 3.26 inches of rain yesterday and the landslide warnings. I had to wade to the silkie pens to feed them. I put the pens themselves in the driest spot so the birds didn't have to learn to swim.

upper 30s F here, chickens are all starting to lay again so the eggs are a coming. Birds are chirping here too!

Bull frogs been croaking the last few evenings. I had to look up the correct spelling for "croaking" because it's been so long.

I tallied up the 3 days of that rain event. 5.09 inches. Sun taunting us today for several hours. It's cloudy again and rain will start again.

Well there ARE oars in the shed, but the fishing boat does better with the motor.

This was yesterday. 15 birds in the large fowl pen. Only 5 were dry, because they stayed in the 8x15 coop until they heard me and came begging.

They look sad (like wet dogs) but content at the same time. I didn't know chickens did well in the rain/water? Do they dry up quick? Mine have never been out in the rain.

The light colored hen on the bottom right - I don't think I'd mess with her! She looks like a ticked off little dinosaur in that pic, lol!
