Why there was a ring on radar over Portage County

Thursday morning’s radar was interesting. It showed a ring develop over parts of Portage County.

They keep saying shoers/rain/t-storms... we had a dark cloud come over and got about 15 sprinkles.... still muggy. Started partly sunny but getting cloudier... more chances of some serious rain they say for the next 2-4 days... We are good here but some areas right around have not gotten any so it wouldn't hurt...
Wish I could send some to Texas and other drought stricken areas....

some years i've watched repeated storms split to go around us. the past few weeks we've finally gotten some decent rains and that is a big help. i wish i could send some south to you there. we are still way behind normal, but i won't need any rains here for a few days or a week or so here.

Several years back we called our place a rain magnet. Now it seems like we're repelling all rain. Not good!

My grandparents place... was dry and rocky.

There was a train tracks about 1 mile away from the property.

Those traintracks were magic... Most rain stopped on the far side.
