So the milk does have a mild canned condensed taste. It's sweeter than canned, also. Tried it on some cereal, that's acceptable, didn't add sugar. Great in hot tea....black coffee here but, would work like the hot tea. Cooking, great. Supplement a nursing kid, great. Not that I couldn't drink it straight up but, not like fresh. Will try with hot chocolate later.

Will be an excellent back up as above. Tall, cold glass -- I won't do. 😉

Remember that you are milking some with higher butterfat in their milk. That makes a taste difference. As to "need" -- I don't really, except for cooking. Canned milk has risen in price like all things. I consider this to cost the price of a lid, so I'll not need to buy any. Plus I cook more in winter & right now, plenty of milk!! It's an experiment of sorts to use what I produce.

Cats got a QT of cold milk in heat of day yesterday 🥰
