For me it's harder to use it all 😁 primarily only me to eat. But, I want to use my hard work & healthy food. Looks like a lot, & is, for 10-12 months of food I keep on hand

I have a Nov-Feb "self challenge" of buying as close to zero as possible from the store. Honestly, I keep groc limited all yr -- use sales, garden, freebies, some home raised chicken, eggs, goats (milk & meat), occasional pig, etc. Preserve by canning, freeze/dehydrate. Yeah, act like every store closed down! It's kinda fun actually.

We all appreciate our supplies at the ready. Laugh at DH. 😎

Wow...picked up figs my friend has been picking, her tree. Delivered 4.5dz eggs. Picked up almost 30# of figs 😳 got home and began trim/cut on them. Have 14 trays between 2 dehydrators. Still 10# looking at me -- I'll have to cook & can these. Still have jam from last year.

About 2 wks out, I'll be picking my neighbors tree. These two have beautiful, mature trees....neither like figs. Plants there when houses bought.

I'm lucky but busy! 😁

Did 4 pints of raspberry jam for mom. Did 3 half pints of whatever jam for us. Found some more jostaberries where the birds didn't get them. So jostaberry, red currant, blueberry, and serviceberry. Was only 2 cups of fruit so cooked and mashed then added sugar. Didn't need pectin.
