You mean a pressure canner, right? I don't want to answer the wrong question.

You might think about potatoes as a first try. They are inexpensive, easy to prep, and delicious ! Or anything else that is on sale....

As far as meats, chicken breasts were my first try, followed by meatloaf. My daughter, the smart alek, still calls my beautiful chicken breasts "fetal pigs".

Gosh, I am really excited for you !

I made 6 quarts of pear-applesauce y'day and have more made tonight. Actually canning it will have to wait till tomorrow, though. The night got away from me!

I think the easiest thing to pressure can is green beans! Of course that is not very cost effective at this time of the year.

Nope, I mean a water bath canner. :hide
I wanted one last year but didn't get one. DH got me one for Christmas.

I'm going to start with water bath canning, then move up to a pressure canner when I get comfortable with water bath canning.

I've never canned anything in my life :hide :hide :hide

My mom canned when I was really little, but then stopped for some reason, and didn't pass along her knowledge.
