Minimum wage is only like $7 here..so not too far off I guess. I plan on working while I'm working. We just had a family meeting after supper and tossed around some ideas and DH and DD came up with some good ways to earn a bit extra while I am at work, like using downtime wisely to make some things to sell on Etsy and such. I know there will be a good bit of downtime while sitting with the elderly, so I guess I can make up the difference that way. I'm also going to try to write a book while I have downtime. I guess it's all in what you make it. DD and DH are very much into the idea of pulling together and keeping things going here, so I will find great comfort in knowing the house isn't gonna fall apart while I am away for several hours a day. That's not even minimum wage around here.
I would have suggested at least $15/hour.... But, good for you for having the fortitude to just get a job, even a difficult one!
Can you imagine the SS discussions we could have?!?!?! These two are of the age to have lived through the Depression as young kids. We'll not be short on things to talk about I don't know if the lady is very vocal, but the man I have heard stories about
